Dycal calcium hydroxide composition by Dentsply Sirona is a rigid, self-setting material useful in pulp-capping (direct and indirect) and as a protective base/liner under dental filling materials. It will not inhibit the polymerization of acrylic and composite restorations. Based on the original Dycal formulation, this radiopaque version provides improved esthetics as well as clinically proven performance, with higher compressive strength and lower solubility than the original product — the standard in calcium hydroxide materials.

Directions for Use

1. Preparation: Ensure the tooth is clean and isolated from moisture.
2. Mixing: Dispense Base and Catalyst in ratio 1.17g:1.0g. Mix for 10 seconds until smooth and creamy.
3. Application: Apply Dycal calcium hydroxide composition to the prepared tooth using a suitable instrument.
4. Setting: Allow 2½ to 3½ minutes for complete self-setting before proceeding.
5. Additional Steps: Place liner/base over Dycal layer, then restore with filling material or crown.
