Glyde File Prep root canal conditioner by Dentsply Sirona is a combination of EDTA and carbamide peroxide specifically formulated to provide cleansing of the root canal preparation. The polyethylene oxide base acts as a lubricant to facilitate shaping of the root canal using rotary and hand instrumentation. Glyde allows for cleansing action that facilitates easy removal of vital and necrotic pulp tissue, and is designed for use with endodontic irrigation with sodium hypochlorite solutions.

Directions for Use

  1. Rinse with sodium hypochlorite and make the first entry into the canal.
  2. Apply Glyde File Prep root canal conditioner straight into the cavity using the disposable tip.
  3. Reinsert the first instrument and begin to prepare the canal.
  4. Rinse with hypochlorite and apply Glyde again into the access cavity.
  5. Continue preparing the canal, alternating with sodium hypochlorite and Glyde between each instrument.
  6. Once the canal has been shaped, rinse with plenty of sodium hypochlorite until effervescence subsides.
  7. Dry and fill.
