Specifications

GC Pattern Resin – Professional Self-Curing Acrylic Resin

GC Pattern Resin is a self-curing, general-purpose acrylic resin by GC Corporation, Tokyo, Japan — the prosthodontist's favorite for making precise dental patterns. Engineered for both direct and indirect pattern-making techniques, it delivers exceptional accuracy, minimal shrinkage, and a perfectly ash-free burnout every time.

Key Features

  • Low Polymerization Shrinkage – Greater accuracy and dimensional stability with improved defined margins
  • High Strength – Ultra smooth surface; strength not compromised even in thin layers; no distortion
  • Excellent Fluidity – Easy manipulation due to thixotropy; high wettability for effortless powder-liquid mixing
  • Ash-Free Formula – Leaves no ash or residue after burnout; results in smoother cast surfaces
  • Quick Setting – Sets within 4 minutes; significantly faster than competing products
  • Undetectable Corrections – Additions and corrections can be made even after the material has set

Indications

Used to make patterns for:

  • Tapered copings for telescopic and other telescope crowns
  • Inlays, palatal and lingual bars, connectors, and clasps
  • Maryland bridges
  • Temporary splints for soldering
  • In-mouth core build-up patterns
  • Implant superstructure construction

Package Contents (1-1 PKG)

  • 1 × 100g Powder
  • 1 × 100g (105mL) Liquid
  • Mixing cups & brush

Instructions for Use

  1. Preparation: Dispense adequate amounts of powder and liquid into separate rubber cups.
  2. Building the Coping: Moisten brush tip with liquid, pick up a small amount of powder, and deposit onto the crown. Build up progressively. Use GC Acro Sep, GC Multi-Sep, or Vaseline as separator on stone models.
  3. Checking Internal Surface: After resin sets (3 min at 23°C/73°F), carefully remove pattern and check margin and internal surface.
  4. Fine Adjustment: Return pattern to crown; create uniform thickness (0.3–0.4mm) using a bur. Check thickness with measuring device.
  5. Waxing & Cut Out: Perform wax-up with inlay wax (no surface cleaning needed before waxing). Cut out veneer for facing and place retention beads.
  6. Investing, Burnout & Casting: For single crowns, follow standard procedures. For larger patterns, hold at 250°C (482°F) for 1 hour before raising to final burnout temperature.

Warnings & Precautions

  • Liquid is highly FLAMMABLE – avoid sources of ignition
  • In case of eye contact, flush immediately with water and seek medical attention
  • Do not mix with other chemically cured resins
  • Do not return residual powder or liquid to the bottle
  • In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water
