Specifications

Diadent Dia-Proseal — Epoxy Resin Root Canal Sealer

Diadent Dia-Proseal is an epoxy resin-based root canal sealer designed for permanent root canal obturation. With outstanding flow characteristics, it ensures excellent sealing by reaching and filling lateral canals, making it particularly suitable for the warm gutta-percha technique. The formula offers high adhesion to gutta-percha and dentin, low shrinkage, and long-term dimensional stability, reducing the risk of gaps and breakdown over time. Enhanced with calcium hydroxide, it possesses antimicrobial properties and a high pH value. Biocompatibility minimizes periapical inflammation and sensitivity, while its excellent radiopacity allows easy detection. The user-friendly 1:1 paste-to-paste mixing system ensures quick and efficient preparation.

Key Features

  • Exceptional Sealing Ability: Low shrinkage minimizes gaps between the sealer and canal walls
  • High Adhesion: Strong bonding to gutta-percha and dentin for secure root canal obturation
  • Outstanding Flow Characteristics: Easily reaches and seals lateral canals, suitable for warm gutta-percha techniques
  • Antimicrobial Activity: High pH with calcium hydroxide addition provides excellent antimicrobial properties
  • User-Friendly Mixing System: Easy 1:1 paste-to-paste manual mixing on a mixing pad
  • Long-Term Stability: Low solubility ensures resistance to breakdown and dimensional stability over time
  • Biocompatible Formula: Minimizes risks of periapical inflammation and sensitivity
  • Radiopaque: Excellent radiopacity for easy visualization on X-rays
  • Short Setting Time: Sets within 3–4 hours for efficient clinical procedures
  • Durable Construction: Resists staining and degradation, maintaining consistent performance

Directions to Use

Preparation: Ensure the canal is clean and dry before application. Gather the required tools: mixing pad, spatula, gutta-percha points, and radiographic equipment.

Mixing: Press the syringe to dispense an equal volume of base (yellow) and catalyst (white) onto the mixing pad in a 1:1 ratio. Mix the two components thoroughly with a spatula for 10–20 seconds until a uniform ivory color is achieved.

Application: Lightly coat the gutta-percha point with the mixed sealer material. Insert the coated gutta-percha point into the prepared root canal.

Sealing: Ensure the material reaches all lateral canals and provides a hermetic seal. Take a radiograph to confirm proper obturation and seal integrity.

Post-Procedure Care: Clean and store the syringe with the cap tightly closed. Sterilize all reusable instruments used during the procedure.

Storage: Store in a dry place at 2°C–27°C, away from direct sunlight.
