Specifications
Dentsply AH Plus Root Canal Sealer – Epoxy-Amine Resin | 4ml + 4ml
Dentsply AH Plus Root Canal Sealing Material is a two-component paste/paste root canal sealer based on epoxy-amine resin. AH Plus shows extremely low shrinkage, making it a suitable choice to seal the root canal. It is an excellent sealer for use with ProTaper Thermafil obturators as the setting reaction is not adversely affected by thermoplastic obturation.
Key Properties
Radiopacity: The radio-opacity of AH Plus has been further increased using new fillers with greater absorption capacity, ensuring adequate visibility of the filling material even in very thin layers — whether using the master point or lateral condensation technique.
Shrinkage, Solubility & Expansion: AH Plus achieves a high degree of tightness with extremely low shrinkage upon setting and minimal solubility, ensuring impermeability of the treated root canal.
Film Thickness: AH Plus has a film thickness of 26µm — well below the ISO standard requirement of less than 50µm for root canal sealing materials.
Flow Behavior: AH Plus is slightly thixotropic with a flow of 36mm, exceeding the ISO standard requirement of >25mm. This ensures easy mixing and smooth introduction into the root canal.
Sealing Ability: AH Plus has an excellent ability to seal root canals and make them impermeable.
Adhesion to Dentin: AH Plus adheres easily to dentine, reducing the risk of root canal microleakage and maintaining a cohesive filling mass.
