Specifications

GC Gold Label 9 Extra β€” High Strength Strontium-Based Glass Ionomer Restorative | 15g Powder + 8g Liquid

GC Gold Label 9 Extra is a high-strength strontium-based glass ionomer restorative providing all the genuine properties of glass ionomers β€” with physical properties strong enough for use in posterior teeth. Its unique strontium glass formulation delivers excellent radiopacity, snap-set characteristics, and a surface strengthening effect over time in saliva β€” making it the trusted choice for clinicians worldwide.

Key Advantages

βœ… Chemical Adhesion to Tooth Structure β€” Minimal cavity preparation; no etching or bonding agents required
βœ… Chemical Setting Without Shrinkage β€” Single-step placement without layering
βœ… Similar Thermal Expansion as Tooth β€” Minimal stress on marginal seal
βœ… Strontium-Based Glass β€” Good radiopacity and snap-set characteristics unanimously preferred by clinicians
βœ… Fluoride Release & Internal Remineralisation β€” Strontium mimics calcium to form strontium hydroxyapatite and fluoroapatite within tooth structure
βœ… Surface Strengthening Effect β€” Calcium ions from saliva diffuse into GIC surface; material strengthens over time
βœ… Consistent, Predictable Seal β€” Ion exchange zone chemically fuses GIC to dentin and enamel for a long-lasting seal
βœ… High Compressive & Flexural Strength β€” 60% higher wear resistance than conventional glass ionomers
βœ… Fast Mixing β€” 10 Seconds β€” Working time 2 min from start of mix; net setting time 2 min
βœ… Final Finishing at 6 Minutes β€” Under water spray using standard techniques
