Specifications

Ammdent Endoflux Root Canal Sealer

Ammdent Endoflux is a zinc oxide–eugenol–based root canal sealer formulated to provide effective sealing and long-term antimicrobial protection during endodontic treatment. Its hydrophilic nature allows reliable performance even in slightly moist canals, making it suitable for routine clinical conditions.

Endoflux adheres firmly to dentinal walls, helping achieve a tight seal that minimizes microleakage. The material's adjustable consistency enables easy flow into complex canal anatomies, including curved canals, apical deltas, and accessory canals.

A key advantage of Endoflux is its sustained release of bactericidal agents, offering a prolonged therapeutic effect and helping control residual infection even when complete apical obturation is difficult. The sealer exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity while maintaining good biocompatibility with periapical tissues. Any mild initial inflammatory response is typically transient and manageable.

Overall, Ammdent Endoflux is a dependable choice for achieving secure obturation and enhanced long-term endodontic success.

Directions to Use

  1. Take a pre-operative radiograph to evaluate canal length, anatomy, and periapical status.
  2. Access the pulp chamber and clean, shape, and prepare the root canal using standard endodontic protocols.
  3. Dry the canal with paper points; slight residual moisture is acceptable due to the hydrophilic nature of Endoflux.
  4. Mix the Endoflux powder and liquid on a clean glass slab or mixing pad to a smooth, homogeneous, cement-like consistency as required for the case.
  5. Carry the sealer into the canal using a lentulo spiral, file, or cotton-wrapped plugger, ensuring uniform coating of canal walls.
  6. Complete obturation using the preferred technique and verify placement radiographically.
  7. Seal the access cavity with a suitable restorative material to prevent microleakage.

Note: In the case of deep cavities, Endoflux acts as a pulp isolating material. Add a few grains of the Accelerator to obtain setting in a very short time.
